Do you want to get more involved in KTLA? Make connections with attorneys in all levels of practice from across the state? Consider becoming a member of one of KTLA’s program committees.
All KTLA members are invited to join any of the four program committees. No experience is required to serve – the only prerequisite is interest and a commitment to participate. Committee members serve for one year (July – June) and then may decide to continue or retire.
Education Committee. Develops CLE programs and hosts or presents. Assists with the Annual Meeting planning.
Legislative Committee. Recommends KTLA’s legislative priorities. During the legislative session (January – April), the committee meets weekly to review legislation and provide information to KTLA’s lobbyists and communications team. Members may testify at the Statehouse on legislation, if desired.
Membership Committee. Assists with recruitment of new members to KTLA.
Public Affairs Committee. The committee’s primary project is to oversee KTLA’s community affairs and volunteering effort, AVID Mock Interviews for middle school students.
If you are interested in becoming a member of a program committee, please contact KTLA at info@ktla.org or (785) 232-7756.
